Frogfoot Acquires Infinity Wireless Fibre Network in Rustenburg
Frogfoot has expanded its national fibre footprint through the acquisition of the fibre network assets of Infinity Wireless (Pty) Ltd in Rustenburg, marking a significant step in the company’s growth strategy.
The transition, which commenced on 1 November 2025, brings Frogfoot into the North West province as it integrates the acquired network into its broader national infrastructure.
Infinity Wireless currently operates and supports the network in the area. Over the next 12 months, these operations will be migrated into Frogfoot’s national model. Throughout the transition, Infinity Wireless will continue functioning as an Internet Service Provider (ISP), and customers will remain with Infinity without needing to take any action. This approach ensures uninterrupted service and smooth continuity.
“This is an exciting acquisition that reflects our commitment to regional growth and network investment,” said Richard Henn, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Frogfoot Networks. “Rustenburg is a thriving community, and this move enables us to bring the benefits of national customer support, long-term infrastructure investment, and future product speed upgrades to Infinity Wireless customers. We are also pleased to continue collaborating with the Koen brothers, who have built an impressive business.”
JJ Koen welcomed the development, saying: “We are delighted to see the fibre segment of our network transition into the Frogfoot ecosystem. Frogfoot’s scale, technical capability, and national presence provide long-term stability for the network and the community we serve.”
Frogfoot’s investment further strengthens regional connectivity, offering customers enhanced reliability and, upon completion of the transition, access to a wider selection of ISPs through the Frogfoot platform.
Both companies have committed to maintaining high service standards during the transition period to ensure Rustenburg customers enjoy a seamless shift into the expanded Frogfoot network.
