Huawei Launches White Paper to Drive ISP and MSP Success with RAMS Framework
During HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, Huawei unveiled its ISP/MSP Business Success Driven by RAMS White Paper at the summit themed “Powering the ISP/MSP Industry with All Intelligence and Resilience.” The white paper introduces the RAMS framework—covering ROI, Availability, Maintenance, and Security—designed to support ISPs and MSPs in transitioning from providing connectivity to delivering intelligent, AI-powered services.
York Yue, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the ISP & OTT Business Unit, emphasised the importance of adapting to rapid AI advancements. He said: “To navigate changes, data centres and ISPs must focus on three areas. First, increasing bandwidth to handle explosive traffic growth. Second, optimising data centre deployment to meet AI’s strict latency requirements. Third, enhancing the five-nines (99.999%) reliability standard to ensure stable operation of AI applications. Huawei is committed to collaborating with customers and partners, leveraging AI technology and industry expertise to upgrade infrastructure and build a foundation for an intelligent world.”
Huang Dachuan, CTO of Huawei’s ICT Marketing and Solution Sales Department, added that supporting 24/7, multi-scenario, real-time intelligent services requires ISPs and MSPs to construct intelligent networks capable of lossless transmission, ultra-high bandwidth, flexible expansion, and convenient deployment.
“Driven by the vision of intelligence and resilience, Huawei has proposed the intelligent RAMS framework, which integrates flexible access networks, evolvable transport networks, and intelligent cloud platforms,” Huang explained. “RAMS enables on-demand service expansion, automated operations and maintenance, and intelligent fault rectification, enhancing network reliability, security, and user experience.”
The white paper outlines a RAMS target architecture, drawing on real-world scenarios to explore solutions for ROI optimisation, differentiated service offerings, intelligent network operations, and highly reliable transport networks. It aims to provide technical guidance for ISPs and MSPs to build intelligent and resilient networks, fostering innovation and sustainable growth.
Huawei has already provided advanced products and solutions to more than 5,000 ISPs and MSPs across over 120 countries and regions. The company plans to increase R&D investment in AI-network integration and work closely with customers and partners to implement and scale innovative technologies commercially.
