Emirates A380 Flypast Celebrates 53rd UAE Eid Al Etihad at Emirates Dubai 7s

The Emirates Dubai 7s, the Middle East’s longest-running sports and entertainment festival, marked the 53rd UAE Eid Al Etihad with a stunning low-level flypast by the iconic Emirates A380.

Thousands of sports fans and families at the Sevens Stadium were treated to the remarkable aerial display on the final day of the event.

Taking off from Dubai International Airport, the Emirates A380 flew over the stadium at 15:42hrs and again at 15:47hrs, cruising at just 500 feet.

Commanded by UAE National Captain Khalid Binsultan, Captain Mubarak Al Mheiri, and supported by Captain Abdalla Al Hammadi, the flypast thrilled the crowd with its graceful performance.

The memorable flypast was a salute to the enduring partnership between Emirates and the Dubai 7s, which celebrated its 54th year in 2024.

The event, held during the UAE National Day weekend, welcomed world-class international athletes, artists, and audiences for a weekend filled with rugby, netball, cricket, and entertainment.

In addition to the sporting action, visitors had the opportunity to earn Skywards Miles through the Skywards Everyday app, while enjoying food and beverage offerings across over 35 outlets.

Participants also had the chance to win 250,000 Skywards Miles, adding even more excitement to the festival’s festivities.

Emirates Dubai 7s continues to be a celebration of sport, culture, and community, offering something for everyone at one of the region’s most anticipated events of the year.
