Vice President Nalumango Inaugurates Zambia@60 Photo Exhibition
Her Honour Mrs. W.K. Mutale Nalumango, Vice President of the Republic of Zambia, officiated the Zambia@60 Photo Exhibition at the Lusaka National Museum.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Diplomatic Corps and the Lusaka National Museum, the exhibition commemorates Zambia’s 60th Independence Anniversary under the theme: “60 Years Strong: Honouring our Heritage, Embracing Our Future.”
The exhibition showcases Zambia’s six-decade-long diplomatic relations with countries and institutions worldwide, highlighting milestones built on mutual respect and shared development goals.
Vice President Nalumango hailed the exhibition as a testament to Zambia’s commitment to collaboration and development, paying tribute to the Founding Fathers who fought for self-determination. She reaffirmed the nation’s dedication to strengthening international ties.
Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, emphasized the significance of the exhibition in reflecting on Zambia’s diplomatic legacy.
He extended gratitude to participating diplomats, expressing optimism for continued collaboration in fostering mutual prosperity.
Dignitaries at the event included Permanent Secretary Administration Mrs. Hope Situmbeko, Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Mr. Evans Muhanga, Ambassador of the State of Palestine and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Dr. Walid Hassan, and other members of the Diplomatic Corps.
The exhibition, open to the public until November 30, 2024, offers an opportunity to reflect on Zambia’s diplomatic achievements and its vision for the future.
