Access Bank Pledges Support for SME Growth
Access Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a pledge for sustainable financing and enhanced capacity building.
The announcement came during the SME Capacity Building Training Programme, where Ivwananji Kasanda, Head of Business Banking, addressed the participants on behalf of Managing Director Lishala C. Situmbeko on September 16th, 2024.
Kasanda emphasized Access Bank’s dedication to SMEs, highlighting the bank’s innovative cash flow-based lending options designed to provide financial access based on account inflows. This approach aims to improve inclusivity and support the growth of SMEs.
“Access Bank’s evolution from a small institution to a leading regional bank reflects the potential within SMEs. Our strategic partnerships and tailored financial solutions are intended to empower businesses to grow, innovate, and make a lasting impact,” Kasanda said.
The training programme, supported by the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development and themed ‘Enhancing Effective Partnerships for Local SMEs and Cooperatives’ Continuous Growth,’ was officiated by Minister Elias Mubanga.
The event underscored the importance of effective partnerships in fostering SME resilience and innovation.
Access Bank’s Managing Director, Lishala C. Situmbeko, urged SMEs to utilize the bank’s offerings and commended their resilience and ambition, which he believes are vital for driving economic growth.
