Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts Permanent Secretary, Kangwa Chileshe, officiated the launch on behalf of Minister Hon. Elvis Nkandu MP.
Mr. Chileshe praised the foundation’s potential to empower youth through physical health, mental resilience, social integration, community outreach, and infrastructure development.
Mr. Chileshe highlighted the foundation’s collaboration with local authorities to improve football facilities across the country.

The foundation’s initiative is a welcome addition, supplementing available resources and demonstrating the desire of successful athletes to help others succeed.
Describing Rachael Kundananji and her team’s initiative as exemplary, Mr. Chileshe emphasized the importance of successful athletes giving back to the community.
He stated, “Football is much more than just a sport; it is a universal language that transcends borders, cultures, and backgrounds. It unites people, ignites passion, and fosters teamwork.”
He further noted that football holds immense potential for youth development, as the sport is now a lucrative industry for employment.
The Government looks forward to the positive impact of the Rachael Kundananji Legacy Foundation on the nation’s youth and communities.
