President Hichilema Swears in New Judicial and Anti-Corruption Officials
President Hakainde Hichilema has sworn in Mr. Kephas Kampamba Katongo and Ms. Eva Jhala as members of the Judicial Complaints Commission, and Mr. Jack Kalala as a member of the Anti-Corruption Commission Board.
During the ceremony, President Hichilema underscored the importance of timely justice, stating that “justice delayed is justice denied.”
He highlighted the need for unity within the judiciary to improve service to citizens and expressed concern over the prolonged detention of individuals in Correctional Services facilities without court access.
He hopes the new appointments will enhance judicial operations and rectify this issue.
The President also appealed to the families of the new officials for their support and thanked parliament for ratifying the nominations.
He concluded with congratulations to the newly appointed officials and a blessing for the nation.
