China Fujian Association of Zambia Promotes Unity for Mutual Benefits
Wu Ming, the inaugural president of the China Fujian Association of Zambia, has emphasized the importance of unity in fostering mutual benefits between the Chinese community and Zambians.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 5th Council of the association, Ming underscored their commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
“Our association’s spirit of selfless devotion has laid a strong foundation for our establishment here in Zambia,” remarked Wu Ming, highlighting the positive impact of their social initiatives that reflect the values of the Fujian people.
Ming outlined their future goals, focusing on principles of unity, coordination, and mutual benefits to deepen friendships and contribute to the prosperity of the association. “Let us work hand in hand to create a brilliant future and write an even more significant chapter for our association,” he urged.
The establishment of the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in Zambia was also highlighted as a milestone, offering a platform for Fujian enterprises to expand and fostering economic cooperation between Zambia and China.
Southern Province Minister Credo Nanjuwa commended the foundation, noting its role in promoting cooperation and development between the two countries.
“The foundation will create more development opportunities for member enterprises and significantly contribute to promoting friendship and cooperative development between our two countries,” Nanjuwa remarked.
Chen Shihai, chairman of the Fujian Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, emphasized the enduring friendship between China and Zambia, describing them as “all-weather friends.”
He noted the significant contributions of the association and chamber in enhancing economic ties, cultural exchanges, and project cooperation.
The ceremony, attended by representatives from over 30 overseas Chinese associations across Tanzania, the DRC, and Zambia, celebrated the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Zambia, marking a new milestone in bilateral cooperation and friendship.
