Access Bank Zambia Limited and Cake Market College Launch Women Start Up Initiative
Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises Elias Mubanga has inaugurated the Access Bank and Cake Market College Women Start Up Initiative, aiming to empower 1,200 women with access to financial services and resources, fostering economic inclusion.
Access Bank Zambia Managing Director Lishala C. Situmbeko, speaking through Head of Products and Segments, Ms. Veronica Musukwa, highlighted the project’s commitment to breaking barriers for women entrepreneurs.
Situmbeko emphasized the amalgamation of Access Bank Zambia and Atlas Mara, affirming the bank’s dedication to supporting female entrepreneurs on their journey to personal and business growth.
The initiative aims to provide tailored support, including financial literacy training and business management skills, to equip women with the necessary tools for success.
Access Bank’s W Initiative for women banking will offer solutions such as the WPower loan, capacity-building webinars, and bespoke financial products, reflecting the bank’s commitment to female-led businesses.
Minister Mubanga praised the initiative for promoting inclusive economic growth and women’s empowerment, acknowledging the vital role entrepreneurs play in driving economic development.
Christine Sakala, Principal of Cake Market College, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the importance of addressing challenges hindering women’s entrepreneurial endeavours.
