Zambia Police Praised for Financial Responsibility

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security’s internal audit committee commended the Zambia Police Service for their adherence to financial control regulations in 2023. 

This resulted in the police service avoiding any appearances before the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC) last year.

The committee’s chairperson, Mr. Chabuka Kawesha, specifically praised the Inspector General and the entire command for this achievement.  

This is significant because it highlights the police service’s commitment to responsible financial management.

Looking ahead, the committee is urging all commanders to ensure their officers continue following financial regulations to prevent any future non-compliance.
