Zambian President Calls for Unity and Citizen Engagement During Church Service
Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema attended Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Ndola, where he addressed the congregation and the nation.
President Hichilema’s message focused on two key themes: unity and economic opportunity.
He emphasized the importance of Zambians acting as responsible citizens who support and help each other, drawing a parallel between the unity of the Church and the need for national unity.
“Indeed, it’s only when we unite, support, and help each other at a personal level that we can together grow this nation,” the President stated.
He concluded this section of his address with a call for love and peace to reign.
Shifting gears, President Hichilema also spoke about the government’s efforts to create a favorable economic environment.
He assured citizens that the government is working to create jobs and business opportunities for all Zambians.
He urged the public to participate in this “economic transformation agenda” and not miss out on the opportunities being created.
The President’s address concluded with well wishes for the nation and a Happy Sunday to all Zambians.
