President Hichilema Commissions New Hospital, Revives Aeromedical Center in Ndola
President Hakainde Hichilema visited Ndola District on the Copperbelt today, April 14th, 2024, to officially commission the new Chifubu Level One Hospital.
The President expressed his gratitude to the people of Chifubu Constituency and Ndola District for their votes in the 2021 election, emphasizing that this support allows the government to deliver on its promises.
“Your vote will allow us to continue bringing quality health services to your doorstep,” President Hichilema stated.
Earlier in the day, the President also oversaw the reopening of the James Lawless Aeromedical Centre in Chifubu Township. This facility, under the Zambia Flying Doctor Services, had been neglected for years.
President Hichilema highlighted the government’s commitment to responsible resource management, which enabled the center’s revival. This revitalization will ensure healthcare accessibility in remote areas.
The President addressed the nation, emphasizing that the recently finalized debt restructuring deal paves the way for further investment in infrastructure.
“Your vote will allow us to construct more health facilities and schools across the country,” he declared. “Your vote will allow us to continue creating more jobs and business opportunities for all.”
President Hichilema concluded his visit to the Copperbelt and is now returning to Lusaka.
