Zambia Extends Condolences to Botswana Following Tragic Bus Accident En Route to Easter Festivities in South Africa

President Hakainde Hichilema of the Republic of Zambia has extended heartfelt condolences to His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, President of Botswana, and the people of Botswana, following a tragic bus accident that claimed the lives of thirty-one female and fifteen male Batswanians.

The unfortunate incident occurred as the group was en route from Botswana to Moria, Republic of South Africa, to partake in Easter festivities.

Expressing shock and sorrow at the loss of life, President Hichilema conveyed the sympathies of the Zambian Government, people, and himself to President Masisi and the entire nation of Botswana.

In the wake of this tragedy, President Hichilema joined in mourning alongside the people of Botswana, offering prayers for comfort and solace to the bereaved families and the entire Batswana community.

Additionally, prayers were extended for the swift recovery of an eight-year-old girl who emerged as the sole survivor of the devastating accident.

He concluded the message by invoking divine strength and fortitude for President Masisi and the people of Botswana in the face of this profound loss.
