Ghanaian Delegation Commends Zambia’s Efforts in Business Environment Reforms
A high-level delegation from Ghana’s Ministry of Trade and Industry recently visited Zambia with the aim of gaining insights into the design, coordination, and management of sustainable business environment reforms.
Led by Mr. Kofi Addo, Director of One District – One Factory, Ministry of Trade and Industry, the delegation, including Her Excellency Mrs. Khadija Iddrisu, Ghanaian High Commissioner to Zambia, engaged in discussions with Zambian officials to understand the framework for business reforms.
During a courtesy call on the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry in Zambia, Mrs. Lillian S. Bwalya, Permanent Secretary Trade and Commerce, highlighted the significance of the visit, expressing appreciation for Ghana’s interest in Zambia’s business reform initiatives.
Mrs. Bwalya emphasized Zambia’s commitment to fostering a conducive business environment and reducing the cost of doing business through initiatives such as the Single Licensing System and Regulatory Services Centres.
In response, Mrs. Khadija Iddrisu, Ghanaian High Commissioner to Zambia, commended Zambia’s efforts in creating an enabling environment for trade and investment.
She underscored the importance of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and expressed optimism that the visit would further strengthen their longstanding relations.
