ACCA Zambia Hosts Successful Roundtable on Sustainability with Distinguished Guests
On Monday, March 4th, 2024, ACCA Zambia organized a prestigious roundtable event at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka, Zambia, focusing on the pressing theme of “Why Sustainability is a Key Strategic Priority.”
The event attracted esteemed professionals from both the public and private sectors, including Chief Executives, CFOs, and COOs.
Distinguished guests at the event included Mr. Anthony Kabaghe, President of ZACCI, and Mr. Elvin J. S. Nasilele, Chief Executive Officer of ZACCI. Also in attendance were notable figures such as Ms. Helen Brand – OBE, Chief Executive of ACCA Global, Ms. Petronella C. Zyuulu, Finance Manager of VIVO Energy Zambia, and Mrs. Yande Mwenye, President of ZICA.
The roundtable discussion, chaired by EY Country Managing Partner, Patrick Mawire, featured insightful contributions from industry leaders like Prudence Muchinouta, Chief Financial Officer at COMACO, and Ezekiel Sekele, Director of Corporate Affairs at Zambeef Products Plc.
Together, they explored the growing significance of sustainability in today’s business environment and the implementation of new ISSB standards.
Participants shared best practices from their respective organizations and emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability into strategic planning. The event provided an excellent platform for networking and fostering collaborations among professionals across various sectors.
