DRC and Saudi Arabia Forge Collaborative Mining Ties at FMF24 Forum
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Saudi Arabia solidified their commitment to collaborative mining endeavors by ratifying a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MOU) during the “Future Minerals Forum (FMF24)” held in Riyadh on January 9th, 2024.
Initiated by the Congolese Minister of Mines, Antoinette N’samba Kalambayi, and her Saudi counterpart, the agreement signifies a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing cooperation in geological exploration, mining activities, environmental protection, and technology exchange between the two nations.
The FMF24 forum, which concluded on Thursday, January 11th, served as a pivotal platform, bringing together key players in the mining industry, investors, policymakers, and experts from Africa, West, and Central Asia.
Minister N’samba underscored the significance of the signed protocol, envisioning mutual benefits for both countries.
