Zambia Extends Gratitude to China for Quick Response to Cholera Outbreak
The Republic of Zambia has expressed profound gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for their prompt and comprehensive support in addressing the recent Cholera outbreak. His Excellency Du Xiaohui, the Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, played a pivotal role in coordinating the efforts.
The nine areas of support, ranging from short-term interventions to long-term initiatives, have been lauded by Zambian authorities. These measures include the production of a Cholera vaccine and other essential accessories for combating the outbreak.
President Hakainde Hichilema conveyed his thanks through Ambassador Du Xiaohui to President Xi Jinping of China, recognizing the swift and solid response from the People’s Republic.

President Hichilema emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of hygiene among citizens and urged prompt visits to the nearest health centers if any signs of illness are detected.
