MultiChoice Resumes DStv Services in Malawi Following High Court Ruling

MultiChoice Africa Holdings (MAH) has officially announced the resumption of DStv services in Malawi, bringing relief to its valued customers.

The decision to resume services comes in the wake of a High Court ruling in Lilongwe on December 1st, 2023, in a matter involving Raise 1996 (Pty) Ltd t/a MultiChoice Malawi and the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority.

Expressing their enthusiasm for the return of services, MAH assured Malawian customers that they can once again access DStv services as before.

In a gesture of goodwill, MAH is offering free access to its premium package for nine days, from December 6th to December 14th, 2023, for customers who have been active at least once within the current year (from April 1st, 2023) and possess an operational DStv decoder.

Keabetswe Modimoeng, Group Executive Corporate Affairs and Stakeholder Management, stated, “We are happy to be resuming services in Malawi and want to assure our customers that they can resume accessing our services as before.”

Following the free access period, customers are informed that access will be based on subscription fees paid.

To facilitate this, MAH is reactivating all payment platforms to enable the resumption of subscription fee payments according to the price schedule effective from August 1st, 2023.

Customers seeking further information or clarification can refer to the DStv website (www.dstv.com/en-mw), use the MyDStv App, check payment platforms, or contact the MultiChoice Malawi call center at 011 189 5777 or 089 100 2677.
