Betway Zambia Strikes K10 Million Deal to Sponsor Zambian Premier League
Betway Zambia has officially announced a K10 million annual agreement to become the Official Betting Partner of the Zambian Premier League (ZPL). This landmark deal, following the de-linking of ZPL from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), grants Betway rights in the MTN Super League as the official betting partner.
Betway is already visible in the ZPL through its sponsorship of MTN Super League teams, Nkana FC and Green Buffaloes.
FAZ President, Andrew Kamanga, expressed his excitement about the partnership between ZPL and Betway Zambia, highlighting the positive steps taken since the de-linking from FAZ.
ZPL Chairperson, Kephas Katongo, underlined the league’s goal to create a passive income for clubs through innovative ideas for its growth.
Betway Zambia’s Chief Operations Officer, Trevis Mulenga, pledged the company’s commitment to developing the game in collaboration with ZPL and FAZ, emphasizing the investment in this partnership.
Sports Permanent Secretary, Kangwa Chileshe, expressed the government’s support for initiatives promoting sports growth in Zambia.
