Hasheem Banda Resigns as Vice President and Leaves United Democratic Party

In a surprising turn of events, Hasheem Banda, formerly the Vice President of the Eastern Region, has tendered his resignation from the position and announced his immediate withdrawal from the United Democratic Party (UDP).

Banda, in his resignation letter, described the decision as a difficult one, citing his deep attachment to the party and the opportunities it provided him. He expressed gratitude for the experience gained during his tenure and the friendships forged but noted that every story has an ending.

It has been a wonderful experience working under your charge and supervision, Banda said in his resignation letter. “I am stepping down as a very content person, considering the experiences I’ve gained and the friendships I’ve added to my personal profile, ” he added. 

Banda concluded his letter by extending best wishes to the UDP and its leadership for the future. He expressed hope that the party would continue to thrive as it prepares for upcoming by-elections and the next general elections.

This unexpected departure from a prominent position within the UDP has sparked speculation about the party’s future and Banda’s future political endeavors.
