EMIRATES EXPANDS INFLIGHT MEAL PREORDERING SERVICE TO EUROPEAN ROUTES
Emirates is expanding its inflight meal preordering service to European routes following a successful launch and positive feedback from passengers on UK routes. This expansion includes cities such as Warsaw, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Brussels, and Madrid. The service will also be available on routes to and from Seychelles and Mauritius.
Business Class passengers can now select their main course between 14 days and 24 hours before their flight, ensuring they receive their preferred meal while also contributing to reducing food wastage.
Emirates is enhancing the inflight dining experience by allowing passengers to browse the onboard menu on Emirates.com or through the Emirates app up to two weeks before their flight. The Business Class menu offers a variety of regionally inspired dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, including options like chocolate hazelnut pancakes with apricot compote and ricotta sour cream for breakfast, beef tenderloin with thyme jus, roasted potato wedges, and steamed vegetables for lunch, and pan-fried salmon trout with saffron cream, blanched green beans, braised beetroot, and polenta with spring onions for dinner.
Cabin crew will use digital devices to access preordered selections and serve passengers their chosen dishes, making the inflight dining experience smoother and more personalized. This initiative complements Emirates’ existing AI-enabled customer preference tracking data and cabin crew reports, which help with menu planning, food loading optimization, and waste reduction.
Emirates is committed to offering digitally enabled journeys and innovative services. In addition to meal preordering, the airline provides services such as website and app check-in, digital boarding passes, itinerary management, access to digital inflight menus, easy Skywards membership sign-up for immediate access to free Wi-Fi messaging onboard, and the option to curate an ice inflight entertainment playlist in advance of a flight.
