ZDA Joins the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, Enhancing Business Opportunities for Zambia
The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has officially become a member of the prestigious Greater New York Chamber of Commerce in the United States. The partnership aims to strengthen ties and facilitate business engagements with industry leaders in the country, effective from July 2023.
The ZDA’s affiliation with the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce grants them access to a vast network of over 30,000 members, comprising businesses from various sectors. This collaboration presents a valuable opportunity for the ZDA to attract investors to Zambia’s key economic sectors, foster potential partnerships, joint ventures, and facilitate business networking for the Zambian private sector.
During the ZDA’s inaugural participation in an online event organized by the Chamber, which also saw participants from Serbia and the Netherlands, Acting Director General Mrs. Jessica Chombo, representing Director General Mr. Albert Halwampa, extended an invitation to the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce to explore investment and trade prospects in Zambia.
Mrs. Chombo highlighted the ZDA’s eagerness to host a Trade Mission from the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce, further solidifying the commitment to enhance business collaborations between the two entities.
Executive Director of the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce, Helena Natt, confirmed the Chamber’s plans to send a delegation of interested members to explore business opportunities in Zambia. Being a member of the Chamber provides the ZDA with an esteemed reputation and recommendation, allowing them to engage with other reputable businesses and foster meaningful partnerships.
