Ministry of Home Affairs Congratulates Newly Appointed State Counsel, Hon. Jack J. Mwiimbu
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security led by Permanent Secretary Josephs Akafumba extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Jack J. Mwiimbu, SC, MP, on his recent appointment as State Counsel.
Permanent Secretary Akafumba, who is also a Lawyer, emphasized the significance of this honor within the legal community, highlighting that the distinction of State Counsel is not easily attained among the ranks of over 2500 practicing Lawyers.
He praised the Minister’s achievement, recognizing it as a proud moment for the entire Ministry.

The appointment as State Counsel was bestowed upon the Minister by the Republican President, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, during a ceremony held at State House on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024.
