Moses Phiri Joins Power Dynamos FC
Power Dynamos Football Club has enthusiastically welcomed Moses Phiri, a highly skilled attacker, to their team on Thursday, February 1st, 2024.
Singala Mupoti, Advisor – Public Relations for Power Dynamos Football Club, announced that Phiri joins the club on loan from Simba Sports Club in Tanzania, introducing an exciting new dimension to their squad.
Mupoti emphasized that Phiri’s extensive experience, coupled with his goal-scoring prowess, is expected to play a pivotal role in helping the club achieve its objectives for the second half of the 2023-2024 football season.
Before his stint in Tanzania with Simba Sports Club, Phiri was a notable player for Zanaco FC in the Zambian premier league, showcasing his skills on the domestic front.
In addition to the new signing, the club witnessed some player departures during the January transfer window. Luka Chamanga and Raphael Mala Makubuli saw their contracts expire without extensions.
Striker Thomas Chideu and midfielder Biston Banda left the team through mutual separation, while Steven Mwaba, Reagan Mtonga, and Laurent Muma were loaned to Green Eagles FC, Trident FC, and Nkana FC, respectively.
Mupoti further disclosed that the club’s Captain, Godfrey Ngwenya, has committed to a contract extension for a period of two and a half years, a move that solidifies the team’s leadership.
