Government Advances Infrastructure Development in Nangoma Constituency, Mumbwa District
President Hakainde Hichilema’s commitment to developing infrastructure across the country is evident in Nangoma constituency of Mumbwa District, where network towers are being constructed to improve communication, according to Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati.
Speaking at the Ground Breaking Ceremony in Nangoma Constituency to mark the initial construction of the first Telecommunication Tower at Keezwa site, Minister Mutati stated that the government is delivering on its promises to enhance the livelihoods of the people.
The 30-kilometer transmission radius tower is expected to improve communication and contribute to the development of various daily activities within the community.
Minister Mutati revealed that the government plans to deliver two more towers to boost network services in Mumbwa District.
Additionally, recognizing the importance of free education, the Minister announced that the government will provide computers and accessories to empower local school-going pupils with computer and digital literacy skills.
Commending the efforts of the Area Member of Parliament, Honourable Collins Nzovu, Minister Mutati highlighted the progress in road upgrading, power grid installations, schools, and other developmental infrastructure programs.
Minister Mutati urged the community to value the communication tower infrastructure investment and take collective ownership to ensure its protection.
He also revealed plans for a digital transformation center in Nangoma Constituency, which will facilitate a Digital Bus System Courier for broad transactions among its residents.
