CAA Commends Transport Minister Tayali for Advancing Zambia’s Aviation Sector
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has commended Minister of Transport and Logistics, Frank Museba Tayali, for his leadership and contribution to strengthening Zambia’s aviation industry.
The tribute was made during a farewell meeting held at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, where officials reflected on progress achieved under his tenure, particularly in aviation safety and regulatory oversight.
Minister Tayali praised the CAA for its professionalism and technical expertise, noting that its efforts played a key role in Zambia’s strong performance during the recent International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) audit.
He said the country achieved an Effective Implementation score above both regional and global averages in aviation safety oversight.
He added that ongoing reforms and programmes are expected to further improve Zambia’s readiness for the upcoming aviation security audit, reaffirming government commitment to strengthening legislative and regulatory frameworks in the sector.
Representing the Director General of the CAA, Director of Finance Mulenga Bwalya expressed gratitude to the Minister for his stewardship and support. He reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring a safe, secure and efficient aviation system.
“We thank you for your continued guidance, and we assure you of our commitment to professionalism, accountability, and service to the public,” Mr Bwalya said.
Minister Tayali, in turn, thanked the CAA Board, management and staff for their collaboration and urged them to continue upholding high standards to sustain progress in Zambia’s aviation sector.
