Liquid C2 Opens Africa’s First AI Hub to Grow Jobs and Technology
Liquid C2, a business of Cassava Technologies, has launched Africa’s first Partner Experience Centre powered by Google Cloud, aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across the continent.
The state-of-the-art facility, based in Johannesburg, is designed to provide partners and resellers with hands-on access to enterprise-grade technologies, enabling them to design, test and deploy cloud and AI solutions tailored to African markets.
Through the centre, partners will follow a structured onboarding programme to obtain Google Cloud accreditation and certification, while also collaborating with specialist engineers to develop customised solutions. These solutions will then be commercialised through Liquid C2’s distribution network, opening new business opportunities and supporting job creation.
The facility offers access to advanced tools such as Gemini Enterprise and the “Gemini Playspace”, allowing rapid experimentation with AI technologies. It also serves as a collaborative hub for enterprises, start-ups, academic institutions, developers and public-sector stakeholders to co-create locally relevant digital solutions.
Senior Vice President at Cassava Technologies and CEO for South Africa and Botswana, Ziaad Suleman, said the initiative reflects a commitment to building strong digital ecosystems across Africa.
“The Partner Experience Centre creates a practical environment where organisations can explore, test and scale solutions that deliver real business value,” he said. “By combining our infrastructure and expertise with Google Cloud’s advanced technologies, we are helping to democratise access to AI and cloud capabilities.”
President of Google Cloud EMEA, Tara Brady, described the launch as a pivotal step towards strengthening Africa’s digital future.
“We are building a hub for innovation that will empower businesses, create jobs and deliver the benefits of digital transformation across the continent,” she said.
The initiative will focus on three key areas: accelerating partner enablement through training and certification, advancing AI innovation through dedicated experimentation spaces, and driving economic growth by expanding Africa’s tech workforce.
Industry-specific platforms within the centre will also demonstrate how AI can improve efficiency, reduce operational risks and enhance customer engagement in sectors such as financial services, healthcare and retail.
