Emirates marks Ramadan with enhanced services for fasting customers
Emirates has extended warm wishes of Ramadan Mubarak to customers worldwide, unveiling a range of thoughtful services to honour the Holy Month and support fasting passengers both in the air and on the ground.
During Ramadan, thousands of complimentary iftar boxes will be distributed at select boarding gates and onboard, allowing fasting customers to break their fast comfortably. The boxes include water, laban, dates and fruit, while specially curated Ramadan meal boxes featuring traditional dishes will be served across all cabin classes on selected routes, alongside the regular hot meal service.
To ensure accuracy for fasting passengers, Emirates uses advanced inflight technology to calculate precise imsak and iftar timings based on the aircraft’s location, with captains announcing the official time to break the fast. Complimentary keepsake prayer mats are also available on all flights upon request.
Across its seven lounges at Dubai International Airport, as well as lounges in Cairo and Jeddah, Emirates is offering an expanded Ramadan menu, including classic Arabic mezze, hearty traditional mains and a wide selection of desserts, dates and beverages. Dedicated prayer rooms and ablution facilities are available to provide a calm space for worship.
Onboard entertainment system ice will feature special Ramadan religious programming, alongside popular Arabic dramas and series, with hundreds of Arabic-language movies, TV channels, music and podcasts available throughout the month.
Emirates has also introduced a new range of Bukhoor home fragrances inspired by the spirit of Ramadan, designed for gifting and home use, now available through the airline’s official store.
For customers travelling for Umrah, special Ramadan services include iftar boxes inflight and an allowance to check in up to five litres of Zamzam water from select airports.
To ensure culturally sensitive service, Emirates has rolled out Ramadan awareness training for cabin crew and ground staff across its global network, reinforcing its commitment to delivering a respectful and seamless travel experience during the Holy Month.
