Hope Grows in Lundazi as BuyZed Launches Winter Crop Initiative
The BuyZed Campaign has ignited fresh optimism among farmers in Eastern Province as preparations advance for a winter crop field day in Lundazi, scheduled for the first week of November 2025.
The campaign’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Evans Kazonga Ng’oma, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Reuben Mtolo, to discuss the event, which will be held under the esteemed leadership of Chief Mwase.
Far from being a routine gathering, the winter crop field day is set to serve as a beacon of progress, offering farmers exposure to technical expertise, innovative farming practices, and solutions designed to boost yields and strengthen livelihoods.
Welcoming the initiative, Minister Mtolo pledged his ministry’s full support. “Empowering our farmers with knowledge and modern skills is the key to transforming the agricultural landscape,” he said. “This field day presents an opportunity for growth that we must fully embrace.”
The BuyZed Campaign, well known for its commitment to promoting local enterprise and sustainable development, is working hand in hand with key stakeholders across the agricultural sector to ensure the success of the initiative.
“Our aim is to bring together farmers, experts, and stakeholders to share knowledge, network, and collaborate,” Ng’oma said. “The winter crop field day will not only benefit Lundazi but will also contribute to the growth and prosperity of agriculture across the Eastern Province.”
Anticipation continues to build, with organisers expecting a diverse turnout ranging from seasoned agricultural professionals to ambitious young farmers. As momentum grows, the BuyZed Campaign’s latest endeavour stands as a testament to the power of community-driven vision—where collective effort can sow the seeds of innovation and reap a future of shared prosperity.
