Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) has donated auto spare parts worth K98,350 to the Zambia Police Service (ZP) in Chingola, reinforcing their commitment to the safety and well-being of residents.

The donation also includes 500 litres of fuel to be provided every month for the next three months, ensuring the police can maintain vital patrols to combat rising crime in the area.

KCM’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Malcolm Mewett, emphasized the importance of the partnership between KCM and the Zambia Police, highlighting the critical role the police play in ensuring peace and security.

“By ensuring their vehicles are well-maintained, we are helping them carry out their important duties with greater efficiency and safety,” said Mr. Mewett.

On behalf of the Zambia Police, Assistant Commissioner Jennipher Mwiimbu expressed profound gratitude for the timely donation.

She acknowledged the operational challenges faced by the police, especially concerning vehicle maintenance, and noted that the spare parts would significantly enhance the police’s ability to patrol Chingola effectively.
