Lusaka Mayor Calls for United Efforts in Fighting HIV/AIDS
Lusaka Mayor, Ms. Chilando Chitangala, has urged everyone to work together to fight HIV/AIDS, calling it a critical public health challenge.
Speaking at the World AIDS Day commemoration at Nkolomba Stadium, the Mayor highlighted the importance of teamwork in preventing the disease.
This year’s theme, “Take the Right Path,” focuses on using the best methods to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.
The Mayor emphasized educating young people about prevention and supporting community programs to raise awareness.
She also stressed that people living with HIV should have access to accurate health information and care.
This, she said, is key to reducing inequalities and reaching the goal of ending AIDS by 2030.
“By working together, we can achieve an AIDS-free Lusaka,” Ms. Chitangala said.
