Emirates Resumes Daily Flights to Lagos, Reinstating Vital Connectivity and Premium Travel Options

Emirates has successfully resumed its much-anticipated daily passenger services to Lagos, Nigeria, reconnecting the West African economic hub with Dubai and destinations beyond. 

This resumption marks a significant boost for both business and leisure travelers, offering seamless travel experiences and enhanced connectivity.

Leading the official delegation onboard Emirates’ inaugural flight were key senior figures, including Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Central Asia; David Broz, Senior Vice President of Aeropolitical and Airline Industry Affairs; and Sami Aqil Abdullah, Senior Vice President Emirates Airport Services Outstation and Business Support. Also on board were Nigerian officials, notably His Excellency Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and His Excellency Zayyan Ibrahim, Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai.

On landing in Lagos, an exclusive event was held with key figures from Nigeria’s aviation sector, government bodies, and business partners to celebrate the occasion.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed the airline’s excitement about resuming operations to Lagos, saying, “This has been a long-awaited moment. We are thrilled to reconnect travelers seamlessly to and through Dubai, coupled with a world-class experience onboard.”

Kazim also extended gratitude to both Nigerian and UAE authorities for their support, underlining Emirates’ commitment to fostering Nigerian aviation’s growth.

Emirates SkyCargo will support Nigerian businesses, offering 300 tonnes of cargo capacity weekly to key global markets, including the UAE, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Flights between Dubai and Lagos will be operated using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering premium services across First, Business, and Economy classes. Passengers can enjoy luxurious amenities, regional dining, and access to Emirates’ inflight entertainment system featuring over 6,500 channels, including Nigerian content.

With this service, Emirates strengthens trade, business ties, and tourism between the UAE and Nigeria. Tickets are now available on emirates.com and via travel agents.
