Emirates Unveils New Lounge at London Stansted Airport, Enhancing Premium Travel Experience

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has officially opened its new lounge at London Stansted Airport, marking a significant investment of over GBP 4 million. This spacious 900-square-metre facility accommodates up to 125 guests, including First and Business Class customers, as well as Emirates Skywards members.

The Stansted lounge is Emirates’ sixth dedicated lounge in the UK, joining existing facilities at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Manchester. This expansion reinforces Emirates’ commitment to providing exceptional on-ground experiences across all London airports, allowing premium customers to relax and enjoy gourmet dining before their flights.

Mohammed Mattar, Divisional Senior Vice President of Airport Services at Emirates, expressed the importance of the new lounge: “This facility exemplifies our brand promise to enhance customer experience both in the air and on the ground. With this lounge, we aim to elevate the travel experience for our customers across one of our key markets.”

The lounge, located in Satellite 1 near the departure gates, features modern furnishings and dedicated seating areas designed for dining and relaxation. Guests can indulge in a diverse food and beverage selection, enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, and take advantage of refreshing shower facilities.

Emirates has partnered with Sussex-based Full Circles Farms to introduce a “farm to table” concept in the lounge, offering seasonal menus featuring fresh, organic produce and locally inspired dishes. Patrons can also savor premium spirits, a curated selection of wines, and Moet & Chandon champagnes.

Gareth Powell, Managing Director of Stansted Airport, welcomed the opening, noting that it enhances the travel experience for Emirates customers flying to Dubai and beyond. The airline currently operates 14 weekly flights from Stansted, linking travelers to its expansive global network.

Emirates has been a key player in facilitating tourism and trade in the UK since 1987, operating 133 weekly flights across various UK cities. With over 140 destinations in its network, Emirates continues to provide customers with seamless connections to Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Africa, and Australasia.
