President Hichilema Commends Zambian Troops’ Professionalism in CAR Deployment
In a recent address to the Zambian Battalion (ZAMBATT IX) deployed as part of the Multi-Dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), President Hakainde Hichilema commended the troops for their professionalism and steadfastness.
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Force, President Hichilema expressed satisfaction with the resilience displayed by ZAMBATT IX, echoing the dedication shown by previous battalions.
Speaking through Commander Zambia Army, Lieutenant General Sitali Dennis Alibuzwi, President Hichilema emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and discipline throughout their mission in CAR.
He urged the troops to uphold the good reputation of Zambia by refraining from any activities that could tarnish the nation’s image.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the troops in the mission area, President Hichilema reassured them of the government’s commitment to addressing their welfare and operational needs.
Commander Zambia Army echoed this sentiment, affirming that measures were being taken to mitigate the difficulties encountered by the peacekeepers.
In response, ZAMBATT IX troops, represented by 2nd Lieutenant Felistus Mwenda, expressed gratitude for the visit from high command and the assurance of continued support.
