Emirates Secures Site at Dubai Investments Park for New Cabin Crew Village
Emirates Airline has signed an agreement with Dubai Investments Park (DIP) to acquire land for a new purpose-built Cabin Crew Village, marking a multi-billion-dirham investment aimed at supporting the airline’s growing workforce.
The mixed-use residential development will be designed to accommodate up to 12,000 cabin crew members and is expected to become a key pillar of Emirates’ long-term people and infrastructure strategy.
The agreement was signed by Ali Mubarak Al Soori, Emirates’ Chief Procurement and Facilities Officer, and Khalid Bin Kalban, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Investments, in the presence of senior executives from both organisations.
Groundbreaking for the project is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase expected to be completed by 2029. The development will be delivered under a long-term lease arrangement.
The Cabin Crew Village will comprise 20 contemporary residential buildings, each rising 19 floors, and offering a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments designed specifically around the needs and lifestyles of Emirates’ cabin crew.
Mr Al Soori said the investment reflects Emirates’ commitment to the wellbeing of its people. He noted that the village will provide a fully integrated living environment, combining residential comfort with convenient access to essential services, leisure facilities and communal spaces that encourage a strong sense of community.
He added that the project also supports Emirates’ future growth plans and its transition to Al Maktoum International Airport.
Dubai Investments Park General Manager Omar Al Mesmar said the collaboration with Emirates reinforces DIP’s position as a preferred destination for large-scale, forward-looking developments. He added that the project will further enrich DIP’s community and contribute to Dubai’s continued growth as a global business hub.
Designed as a complete lifestyle destination, the Cabin Crew Village will include a central hub featuring retail outlets, restaurants and food concepts, alongside modern fitness facilities, clinics, parks and public spaces. Outdoor amenities such as walking trails, landscaped green areas and resort-style swimming pools will promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
Each residential building will also have its own dedicated facilities to ensure convenience and accessibility for residents.
Strategically located midway between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), the development is well positioned to support Emirates’ operational requirements while offering high-quality living standards for its cabin crew.
