AECI Mining Explosives Announces Board Changes

AECI Mining Explosives Plc has announced a change in its board of directors, following the resignation of Ms Meagan Van Den Berg and the appointment of Mr Jaco Human as a Non-Executive Director, effective 23 July 2025.

Ms Van Den Berg stepped down after a year of service, and the Board expressed its sincere appreciation for her contributions, wishing her continued success in future endeavours.

Mr Human, who previously served on the AECI Board, brings over 23 years of international experience in the mining, explosives, and chemicals sectors, including more than 18 years in executive leadership. 

He has managed operations across Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and Australia, with expertise in governance, strategic growth, and acquisitions.

He holds an MBA from Henley Business School and has received multiple accolades, including Business of the Year and Deal Maker of the Year awards. The Board noted that his extensive leadership and board experience will be invaluable in driving the company’s strategic objectives and growth.

The announcement was approved by the Lusaka Securities Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zambia, with investors advised to seek guidance from licensed professionals regarding any price-sensitive information.

By order of the Board, Choice Corporate Services Limited, the company secretary, confirmed the changes on 20 October 2025.
