PSG, Brentford and Ajax Battle to Sign Nigerian Wonderkid Sani Suleiman
Nigerian midfielder Sani Suleiman is emerging as one of Africa’s most sought-after young talents, with Paris Saint-Germain, Brentford, and Ajax Amsterdam reportedly leading the chase for his signature, according to SportsBoom.com.
The 19-year-old, currently playing for AS Trenčín in Slovakia, has caught the eye of top European scouts following a string of impressive performances for Nigeria’s U17 and U20 national teams. His composure, creativity, and vision in midfield have made him one of the most promising prospects from the recent FIFA tournaments.
Suleiman’s rapid rise has not gone unnoticed. Earlier, clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Bayer Leverkusen, and Glasgow Rangers were linked with him, but sources now confirm that interest from PSG, Ajax, and Premier League outfit Brentford has intensified. Several Major League Soccer sides are also monitoring his progress closely.
A source close to the player revealed that while AS Trenčín have the option to extend Suleiman’s contract for two more years, a January transfer appears increasingly likely given the level of attention he is attracting.
“He’s had a great tournament and season, so the interest is natural,” the source told SportsBoom.com. “Discussions are ongoing, but the next move hasn’t been finalised.”
So far this season, Suleiman has scored two goals and provided one assist in five matches, showcasing his attacking flair and consistency.
With some of Europe’s biggest clubs now circling, the Nigerian teenager could be on the verge of a major move that could define the next chapter of his fast-growing career.
