Zambia Showcases Tourism Potential at Magical Kenya Expo

Zambia has reaffirmed its commitment to boosting regional tourism cooperation as it prepares to participate in the Magical Kenya Tourism Expo (MKTE), taking place from 1–3 October 2025 in Nairobi.

Zambia’s High Commissioner to Kenya, His Excellency Alfred Musemuna, called on the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) to seize the opportunity to learn from Kenya’s tourism successes and identify areas for collaboration that will strengthen development in both countries.

The Zambian delegation, led by Mrs Amanda Chipungu, Chief Executive Officer of the ZTA, includes representatives from Zambia Airways, hotel and lodge operators, as well as travel and tour companies.

Speaking ahead of the expo, Mrs Chipungu underscored Zambia’s dedication to forging strong partnerships with Kenya’s tourism sector, noting the potential for shared growth through regional cooperation.

“We invite all participants and visitors to engage with Zambia’s delegation and visit our stand at the Magical Kenya Tourism Expo. This is an exciting opportunity to highlight Zambia’s unique tourism offerings while building lasting partnerships,” she said.

The ZTA continues to promote Zambia as a premier travel destination, with the aim of increasing tourism’s contribution to national economic growth. Its participation at MKTE underscores the government’s determination to elevate Zambia’s global tourism profile while fostering partnerships that advance sustainable development.
