Zambia Reinsurance Forecasts 66% Rise in Earnings per Share

Zambia Reinsurance Plc (ZAMBIA RE), formerly known as Prima Reinsurance Plc, has issued a trading statement indicating that its earnings per share (EPS) for the half-year ended 30 June 2025 are expected to rise by 66.67% compared with the same period in 2024.

According to the Board of Directors, the projected increase is primarily driven by business growth during the review period, which generated higher reinsurance revenue and in turn boosted EPS.

The company noted that the trading statement has not been reviewed or audited by its external auditors. Full half-year results are expected to be released on the Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) Stock Exchange News Service (SENS) and published in the local press on or about 26 September 2025.

ZAMBIA RE has cautioned shareholders to exercise prudence when dealing in its securities until the official results are published.

The announcement was issued on behalf of the Board by Choice Corporate Services Limited, Company Secretary. Stockbrokers Zambia Limited acted as the sponsoring broker.
