The promotion, which ran from 17 May to 15 September 2025, rewarded an unprecedented 217,517 winners across all 10 provinces, reaffirming the company’s commitment to giving back to its loyal customers.

The campaign, themed around gratitude, delivered life-changing prizes ranging from the latest iPhone 16 Pro Max and Alola smartphones to K20,000 cash prizes, local holiday getaways, and K100 MoMo cash transfers awarded every 20 seconds throughout the promotion.

At the climax of the promotion, two customers – Mr Kenneth Mwanza from Solwezi and Mr Enoch Zulu from Nyimba – each walked away with K500,000 in cash. In addition, Ms Hence Mikwala from Mpongwe won a fully sponsored trip for two to Dubai, creating unforgettable memories.

Speaking during the grand draw event, MTN Zambia Chief Consumer Officer, Mr Richard Acheampong, said the promotion was a reflection of MTN’s “attitude of gratitude.”

“This year, MTN has been led by an attitude of gratitude, giving thanks through meaningful action. The Thank U Zambia promotion was designed to say thank you to everyone who has been part of our 20-year journey. With over 217,000 winners nationwide, this campaign has touched lives far and wide. Today, we are proud to announce life-changing prizes, including the K1,000,000 grand prize shared between our winners and a trip to Dubai. These moments capture the true spirit of this celebration,” Mr Acheampong said.

The draw was independently verified and overseen by auditors KPMG to ensure fairness and transparency.

More than just a promotional campaign, the Thank U Zambia initiative has set a new benchmark for customer appreciation in the country. It combined rewards with community engagement, creating a national celebration of unity and demonstrating MTN’s role as a trusted partner in progress, digital innovation, and empowerment for every Zambian.
