The Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander, Lieutenant General Oscar Msitu Nyoni, has expressed gratitude to the Botswana Air Force for its support during the ongoing military exercise Blue Lugwasho in Southern Province.

Speaking on his behalf, Chief of Operations Brigadier Lloyd Chonya commended Botswana for contributing personnel and a C-130 aircraft to the joint exercise. He said ZAF remains indebted to its Botswana counterpart for the valuable support and reaffirmed the strong ties between the two nations.

“The Zambia Air Force deeply values the cordial relations with Botswana. Our two countries have always stood by each other in times of need, and this collaboration is yet another example of our enduring partnership,” Brig Chonya said.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Dumisani Ndzinge, Commandant of the Botswana Senior Command and Staff College, praised Zambia’s role in the growth of the Botswana Air Force. He noted that some of Botswana’s fighter pilots were trained at the ZAF Mumbwa Base, which has significantly shaped the force’s development.

Brig Gen Ndzinge also thanked the ZAF Commander for the warm hospitality extended to his delegation since their arrival in Zambia.
