ZRA Commissioner General Urges Staff to Boost Domestic Revenue Collection

Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) Commissioner General Dingani Banda has urged staff to intensify efforts in sustaining and increasing domestic revenue collection.

Speaking in Sesheke, Western Province, at the Katima Mulilo Border Post, Mr Banda highlighted the critical responsibility of ZRA employees in collecting revenue on behalf of the Government.

He emphasised that rising demands for domestic resource mobilisation require staff to exceed revenue targets through dedication and efficiency.

“Domestic revenue is vital for national development, and every staff member has a role to play in ensuring targets are not only met but surpassed,” Mr Banda said.

He also called on staff to maintain professionalism and courtesy in their dealings with taxpayers, stressing the importance of quality service in fostering compliance and trust.

Earlier, Mr Banda paid a courtesy call on Sesheke District Commissioner Alex Namenda, explaining ZRA’s new one-ZRA framework, which allows taxpayers to access all services from any station within the Authority.

The Commissioner General is currently undertaking a working visit to ZRA stations across Western Province, encouraging staff to enhance revenue collection while recognising their operational achievements.
