NAPSA Director General Urges Staff to Drive Economic Growth and Service Excellence

The Director General of the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA), Mr Muyangwa Muyangwa, has called on newly inducted employees to embrace their roles as key ambassadors of national development by upholding the institution’s values and contributing to Zambia’s economic transformation.

Speaking at the induction ceremony held at the NAPSA Records Centre in Lusaka, Mr Muyangwa highlighted the critical role of pensions in securing citizens’ financial futures and urged staff to actively engage the public on the importance of social security.

“Every Zambian should have a social security number, and as NAPSA, we must ensure this becomes a reality. We represent this institution, and our focus must always remain on our members because we are the frontline of its operations,” he said.

The Director General further highlighted NAPSA’s growing influence on the national economy, revealing that its investment portfolio has now surpassed K90 billion. He noted that the Authority plays a pivotal role in Zambia’s development through strategic investments in infrastructure, housing, and other key sectors.

Emphasising the institution’s vision of becoming a reliable economic powerhouse, Mr Muyangwa encouraged the new employees to demonstrate productivity, creativity and innovation in their work. He called for commitment to service excellence and strict adherence to NAPSA’s core values.

“We must uphold our values and deliver the highest standards of service. Let us create a powerhouse that the people of Zambia can rely on for economic growth,” he added.

The ceremony reaffirmed NAPSA’s dual mandate of protecting citizens’ financial security while simultaneously driving national development through strategic investments.
