Proflight Zambia Launches Direct Flights to Windhoek

Proflight Zambia has announced the launch of a new route to Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, marking a significant step in strengthening regional connectivity. The service will commence on 3 March 2026, operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The route will connect Lusaka and Windhoek via Livingstone, with the Lusaka–Windhoek service including a brief 30-minute stopover where passengers remain on board, while the Livingstone–Windhoek leg will operate as a direct flight.

The schedule is designed to provide convenient travel options for both leisure and business passengers:

  • Lusaka – Windhoek: 08:30 – 11:35
  • Livingstone – Windhoek: 09:55 – 11:35
  • Windhoek – Livingstone: 12:20 – 13:55
  • Windhoek – Lusaka: 12:20 – 15:20

Travellers will also benefit from morning connections from Ndola to Windhoek and evening links from Windhoek to Ndola, Solwezi and Mfuwe.

Captain Josias Walubita, Proflight Zambia’s Director of Flight Operations, said: “Proflight Zambia continues to invest in network expansion and is excited to give travellers more choice destinations and greater travel flexibility. Namibia is an important neighbour and trade partner, and this route will make travel between our countries more seamless, whether for tourism, business, or family.”

He added that the new service not only connects iconic attractions such as Victoria Falls and the Namib Desert but also strengthens Southern Africa’s aviation network and reinforces Zambia’s position as a tourism and trade hub.
