SMTS Zambia Wins Prestigious SADC Service Provider of the Year Award
Zambia’s Safety Management Training Services (SMTS) has been named the SADC Service Provider of the Year (SME Category) at the 2025 Southern African Development Community (SADC) Quality Awards, held on July 31 in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
The accolade, presented during the SADC Industrialization Week (July 28 – August 2), celebrates SMTS Zambia’s leadership in delivering high-quality Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) training and consultancy services. The judges praised the company’s innovation, strong adherence to quality management systems, and regional impact in promoting workplace safety.
SMTS qualified for the regional award after winning Best Service Provider of the Year at the 2024 Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) National Quality Awards, reflecting its alignment with international standards and excellence in service delivery.
Receiving the award on behalf of the organization, SMTS Group CEO and AfriSAFE President Ms. Hellen Mwamba extended heartfelt appreciation to the SADC Secretariat, ZABS, clients, and the entire SMTS team.
