MYSA Joins Govt Communicators in Strategic Communication Workshop to Boost Public Engagement
The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts (MYSA) is actively participating in the ongoing Strategic Communication Workshop taking place in Livingstone from July 14 to 19, 2025. The high-level training aims to enhance the effectiveness of public service communication across government institutions.
Organized by the Ministry of Information and Media in partnership with the Zambia Institute of Mass Communication (ZAMCOM), the workshop has drawn public relations professionals from across various ministries to sharpen their skills in media relations, digital branding, crisis communication, and the fight against misinformation.
MYSA emphasized that effective communication is central to achieving its mandate of empowering youth, promoting sports excellence, and advancing the arts and creative industries. “Our participation emphasizes our commitment to professional growth and strategic engagement with the Zambian public,” said a ministry spokesperson.
The workshop features expert facilitators, including senior government spokespersons and media strategists, offering practical guidance and insights to boost transparency, accuracy, and coherence in public messaging.
MYSA’s Public Relations Unit is expected to emerge from the training better equipped to communicate life-changing programmes that directly impact young people and creatives — the core constituents of the ministry’s agenda. The initiative is also fostering inter-ministerial collaboration and knowledge sharing to improve the overall quality of government communications.
The ministry lauded the Ministry of Information and Media and ZAMCOM for organizing the timely and empowering programme. MYSA reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, strategic messaging, and excellence in public service delivery aligned with national development goals.
