As summer travel heats up, Emirates reveals exciting trends in global travel searches for July and August 2025. Flight searches have increased by 7% compared to last year, with travellers showing a strong appetite for new cultural experiences and off-the-beaten-path destinations.

Leading the charge is France, which has seen a remarkable 35% rise in outbound travel searches, followed by Ireland, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and the UAE, indicating robust travel intent across key markets.

Vietnam has emerged as this summer’s breakout destination, with a stunning 61% increase in interest and booking demand. Emirates now flies to three Vietnamese cities — Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and recently launched Da Nang via Bangkok — offering seamless connections from major European and American hubs. Mauritius continues to captivate travellers, rising 41% in flight searches, while Sri Lanka also gains popularity with a 32% boost, thanks to its rich cultural heritage, pristine beaches, and affordable luxury.

Japan remains a magnet for explorers, growing 28% in flight searches due to its unique blend of culture, stunning landscapes, and culinary delights. Emirates operates 21 weekly flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka. France rounds out the top five, with a 25% increase in demand and multiple daily flights connecting Paris, Nice, and Lyon.

Looking regionally, Emirates reports a 13% increase in flight searches from the UAE, with strong interest in Sri Lanka, Jordan, France, India, Lebanon, and Morocco. US travellers are increasingly searching for African destinations like Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa.

UK travellers show growing enthusiasm for far-flung places including New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius. Indian travellers are keen to explore Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland, while Australians focus on Europe, especially France and the UK. German travellers have heightened interest in Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, and the Seychelles.

Dubai continues to attract a diverse range of summer visitors. Nearly half of US, Indian, and Australian travellers visit solo, blending business and leisure over stays averaging just over a week. Family travel varies by nationality; Indian families prefer shorter visits, while American and British families tend to stay longer, with UK families often extending their trips beyond two weeks. Couples from Australia and Germany tend to take longer holidays in Dubai, sometimes staying up to a month.

With such dynamic travel patterns and vibrant destinations, Emirates is ready to help you discover your perfect summer escape.
