Nkandu, MP, praised Mwale’s dedication, discipline, and contribution to raising Zambia’s sporting profile on the global stage.

“David’s victory is a proud moment for our country,” said Hon. Nkandu. “You cannot talk about modern boxing without mentioning his name. As the New Dawn Government, we continue to emphasize that there is no minor sport. Disciplines once overlooked are now producing major results, and we remain committed to ensuring that all sports receive fair and equal support through the national budget.”

The Minister further noted that Mwale’s victory reflects the growing potential of Zambia’s sporting sector and reaffirms government’s pledge to support athletes from all backgrounds and disciplines.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to creating an enabling environment for sports development and nurturing talent to compete at the highest levels.
