ZACCI and TradeMark Africa Explore New Avenues for Trade Collaboration

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) welcomed a delegation from TradeMark Africa (TMA) for a strategic meeting aimed at exploring collaborative opportunities to advance trade facilitation and digital integration in Zambia.

The courtesy call, held last Friday, brought together key representatives from both organizations. TradeMark Africa was represented by Mr. Omondi Brian (Programme Officer, Digital Trade), Mr. Gregory Chikwanka (Technical Advisor), and Ms. Binti Rashid Rakki (Program Consultant). ZACCI’s delegation was led by President Mr. Anthony Kabaghe and CEO Mr. Elvin Joseph Nasilele.

The discussions centered on the integration of digital tools and platforms, including the potential hosting of the ISOKO trade portal, as part of wider efforts to streamline trade processes, enhance business visibility, and strengthen regional economic ties.

“We are excited about the potential collaboration with TradeMark Africa and look forward to working together to promote trade facilitation and economic development in Zambia,” said ZACCI President Mr. Kabaghe.

The meeting ended with a mutual understanding of shared objectives and a commitment to work jointly toward a stronger, more digitally connected trade environment. Both parties agreed to pursue initiatives that align with their missions of advancing private sector growth and regional trade integration.

ZACCI, Zambia’s premier private sector representative body, continues to advocate for inclusive, sustainable economic growth through effective policy dialogue and private-public partnerships.

TradeMark Africa, known for its impactful Aid-for-Trade initiatives across the continent, is evolving its focus to include digital trade, low-carbon export support, and food security resilience.
