Zambia Gears Up to Showcase Economic Potential at IATF 2025 in Algeria
The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has confirmed Zambia’s participation in the Intra-Africa Trade Fair (IATF) 2025, set to take place from September 4–10 in Algiers, Algeria.
This marks Zambia’s fourth appearance at the continent’s premier trade and investment event.
ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa, who also serves as Zambia’s IATF 2025 Ambassador, extended a rallying call to Zambian businesses, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to seize the opportunity and represent the country on the continental stage.
Following Zambia’s strong presence at IATF 2023—where 25 companies from key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and tourism secured export leads worth over USD58.9 million and investment leads of USD3.5 million—ZDA aims to double those gains in 2025.
“This is Zambia’s moment to shine,” said Mr. Halwampa. “Let us go to IATF 2025 united, bold, and ready to do business. Whether you’re a large corporation, SME, or cooperative, your presence is crucial in telling Zambia’s story on the African stage.”
Participants at IATF 2025 will benefit from extensive networking opportunities, access to market intelligence and trade facilitation services, and the chance to take part in high-level forums, including B2B and B2G meetings, exhibitions, and investment summits.
Organised by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union and the AfCFTA Secretariat, the 2025 trade fair is expected to attract over 1,600 exhibitors and more than 35,000 visitors from across Africa and beyond.
Zambian businesses interested in joining the delegation are encouraged to contact ZDA for registration and support.
